Less arrived than you sent
The gap has three possible causes, and none of them is silent. Every one of them is on the confirmation screen before you agree to anything, which means the number that arrives should never be a surprise, and if it is, the fault is with how it was shown, not with arithmetic done behind your back.
The network fee, which is inside the amount
Every chain charges for carrying a transfer, and that charge is settled out of the operation rather than billed to a separate balance. This is why you never have to hold TRX to move USDT on Tron. It also means the amount that lands is smaller than the amount you typed, by exactly the figure quoted before you signed.
The service fee, which is its own line
The wallet charges 0.25% of what you move, shown as a separate line on the confirmation screen beside the amount that will arrive. You approve both together or neither. It does not change after you agree, and nothing is deducted later.
The market, between the quote and the fill
When one asset becomes another, the rate is whatever the market offers at the moment the exchange happens, which is a moment after you agreed to it. Every quote therefore carries a guaranteed minimum: the least you will receive for the operation to go ahead at all. Landing between that floor and the estimate is the system working; landing below it is not possible, because the operation would be refused instead.
What this is not
There is no spread taken quietly on top, no rounding in the house’s favour, and no charge that appears afterwards. If the arrived amount does not match the confirmation screen you approved, that is a defect worth reporting rather than a fee you missed.

Questions
Which of the three took the most?
On a same-asset move between chains, the network fee. On a swap between different assets, usually the market: the rate moves more than the fees do.
Can I see the numbers before signing?
All of them. The amount that will arrive, the service fee and the guaranteed minimum are on the confirmation screen, and nothing is added after you approve it.
What is the guaranteed minimum?
The floor the operation is allowed to deliver. If the market moves far enough that the result would fall under it, the operation does not proceed rather than delivering less.
What if less arrived than the guaranteed minimum?
That should not happen. Save the transaction hash and write to support with it. A number below the floor is a bug, not a fee.
