19 networks
This is the complete list of chains the wallet moves money on. Deposit on any of them and withdraw on any other: BEP20 to TRC20 costs $1 of blockchain fee instead of $3. What differs between them is the coin they charge fees in, how fast they settle and which assets they carry, not whether you need that coin, because you never do.

Chains with more than one asset have a page of their own:
Single-asset networks
These carry one coin each: their own. There is no standard to choose and no wrong network to send them to, which is most of what a page about them would have said.
Questions
Which network should I choose?
Whichever one the person or exchange receiving the money expects. That is the only hard requirement. Between two that both work, the table above shows which settles faster and what each charges its fee in.
Do I need a network’s own coin to send on it?
Never. Every chain here charges its fee in its own coin, and the wallet pays that out of the transfer itself, so no balance in TRX, BNB, ETH or anything else has to be kept.
Can I deposit on one network and withdraw on another?
Yes, and that is the ordinary case rather than a special feature. Deposit on any chain in this list and withdraw on any other; the route is quoted as one amount before you sign.
