Bitcoin Cash split from Bitcoin in 2017. The argument was one question: whether blocks should get bigger so transfers stay cheap. It took the bigger blocks. The cadence is the same ten minutes, but the fee market that makes Bitcoin expensive at busy hours has never developed here.

Transfers are quoted as one amount with the fee inside. The cost does not swing between quiet and busy hours the way its older sibling’s does.
Questions
Is this the same as Bitcoin?
No. It is a separate chain with a separate balance, and a BCH address is not a BTC address. Sending one to the other does not arrive.
How long does it take?
About ten minutes to a block, the same as Bitcoin.
What if I send it to a Bitcoin address?
It does not arrive. Bitcoin Cash is a separate chain, and a transfer that lands on the wrong one cannot be recalled by us or by anyone.
