USDC
USDC is issued by one company across many chains. That makes it feel more unified than it actually is. It is not: the USDC on Base and the USDC on Solana are separate balances that happen to be redeemable for the same dollar. Sending one to the other’s address does not work, and it is the same rule as USDT despite the cleaner reputation.

Circle issues USDC natively on most of the chains here rather than relying on bridges, which is why you rarely see the wrapped-token warnings that follow other assets around. It does not change the sending rule: the credit is per chain.
Base is a USDC chain
Base carries USDC and ETH and no USDT at all. If you are being paid on Base, you are being paid in USDC, and there is no Tether route into it here.
The .e spelling on Avalanche
Avalanche has carried bridged dollars long enough that some wallets still label them USDC.e. That is the same asset; this wallet folds the suffix away so one balance does not show up as two.

Is USDC on Solana the same as USDC on Ethereum?
The same dollar, a separate credit. They cannot be sent to each other’s addresses; moving between them is a transfer.
Can I receive USDT on Base?
Not in this wallet. Base carries USDC and ETH. Dollars on Base means USDC.
What is USDC.e?
The bridged spelling used on Avalanche. It is the same asset, shown here as plain USDC.
